Design Week : Collabing w Sturgill MoCC

October 4, 2013

P1110849

Jen Lorentzen:

I was invited to spend Thursday at the Museum of Modern Craft with Jason Sturgill during his residency there this month. Jason purchased a Risograph machine and invited other designers to come and spend a day with him doing pieces inspired by the collection at the museum and one for you to explore the process.

I wanted something inspired by my summer outside, perhaps the chill in the air and the rain falling made me nostalgic! I used a John Muir quote and created a 4 color exposure. Really excited about how it came out!

Jessica Dalpiaz :

Just found an old copy of Snowboarder, November 2006 – from my days doubling as team rider and team manager at Roxy.

I can still remember exactly where that is in Brighton.  The good ‘ol days.

Team CKC :

We should start submitting images to skate and annoy.

The latest Madewell catalog. While the park is an interesting background, the inclusion of the deck and helmet take it over the top:

Jen Lorentzen:

Haleigh has joined us this week for graphic design fun during her spring break. We have done site surveys, client meetings, toured printers and redesigned her tumblr with custom type and patterns. We uploaded the background pattern along with a few others to our society6 page.
