This beautiful house in the desirable Laurelhurst neighborhood needed improved functionality without losing the original old house charm. We closed up one of the three doorways into this room and created a much better space for cooking. We preserved the charming original cabinetry and plaster range hood by installing complimentry new cabinetry and shelves. New brass hardware echos lines from the original tudor lighting elsewhere in the home.
The original plaster hood was a must for us. We pulled the range forward and continued the counter behind it for seasonings.
