interested in thoughts on this. mia hamm and other olympic gold medal athletes (dara torres and lindsey vonn) are being featured in ads with a double entendre narrative comparing their sport careers to scoring purses at kohl's.
does it trivialize the merit's of their achievements?
or does it elevate them in a legacy category we're accustomed to seeing male athletes in? perhaps it is lacking the tongue in cheek context that would make it work that way?

Here I started with a series of concentric circles, and created a brush which represents only one revolution, which rises the same distance that the rings increase in diameter. When the concentric rings are stroked with the art brush they combine to create a spiraling effect.
